Formed in 1949, Lane Cove Seniors have had a rich history filled with victory, valour, and veracity. Competing in the Meldrum Cup, Lane Cove Seniors continue to improve their game and maintain a strong bond both on and off the field.
Men from all walks of life join Lane Cove Seniors rugby - we've got painters and plumbers, business executives and members of the army reserves. No matter what you do or where you come from, Lane Cove is a great club with a hard-hitting on-field demeanour coupled with a vibrant social scene.
The Club is establishing a new women’s rugby group in 2022.
Our new women’s rugby group offers both social and competitive rugby 7s. It is a great place for the inexperienced to start or for the more advanced to further their rugby in a club where participation, fun and friendship are encouraged and supported.
The rugby 7s season includes gala days, friendlies and formal competition. Competition play is normally every second Sunday with home games at Tantallon Oval and gala days on scheduled weekends. Training is held Thursday evenings at Tantallon Oval during the season.
Colts - u21
Reformed in 2014 for the first time in 50 years, the Lane Cove Colts made their presence known in Sydney Suburban Rugby after winning the Radford Cup in 2016.
The colts competition is an opportunity for school leavers to continue to play socially with mates or an opportunity to meet a group of locals that are able to fit a game and training around uni or an apprenticeship.
Don't fancy taking your rugby too seriously? Reckon you can pull off free-flowing champagne rugby without turning up to a single training session?
Yup, we have a side for that. We enter a team into the NSW social competition, the Halligan Cup, every year to give legends like you a dance floor to do your thing.
